Mitsugu Mouryou’s Anime Review
Ok to explain both this page (why it seems like there are doubles) and the series, get ready for some spoilers from the first 2 episodes: Murder Princess opens with Princess Alita being forced to flee the palace. To aide her escape, her trusted servant and double, Milano, takes her place, while an army of beasts breach the halls of the throne room lead by the fiendish Dr. Akamashi. In the Elurae forest, she encounters a fiend, forcing her to flee screaming, with arms flailing blindly, she ran into the legendary swordswoman and bounty hunter, Falis, and together took a tumble off a cliff. Assured of death, their souls began to leave their bodies. They were then caught at the bottom by Falis’ rag-tag associates forcing their souls to return but in the wrong bodies. After a deal is struck, Falis, in the body of Princess Alita, returns to retake the palace. After all is said and done Dr. Akamashi escapes and Alita, in the body of Falis, finds the tragic fate of her dear friend Milano. A deal is struck to save the kingdom: Falis will pose as Princess Alita Forland, and Alita will pose as Milano to advise and serve her until the kingdom is safe. [ Thus the legend of the Murder Princess is born. Wow it’s been so long since I've seen this I forgot how much I liked it, and hated the fact that it only has 6 episodes. It’s has plenty of action, a pair of evil lolis, interstitial rock music/ musical cues… think of Black Lagoon, in medieval times, with Swords! So, good music, plenty of action, and a rather entertaining plot. This is why I’ll give Murder Princess, containing blood and violence, a 4.4(out of 10) Recommended for viewing, but no good for background noise due to it being too short, plus it’ll suck you in too much.
